I discovered my love for snow and mountains way later than most other people I know. I couldn’t understand why someone would choose to freeze and be out of breath if they could choose to be lazy on beautiful beach and get a tan instead.

This was before I moved to Switzerland for two years and was surrounded by mountains wherever I looked.

Living in London, I miss the mountains more than I would like to admit – and when I got the chance to choose I place to ring in 2013, I that’s what I picked – The French Alps. We stayed in Chamonix for 5 nights, from where we drove to Le Tour every early morning to hit the slopes (is a beginner entitled to say this?). We also took the chance to visit Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace.

This is a small collection of my favourite photographs taken during the trip.

I travelled to Patagonia in December 2011. We started in Ushuaia (Argentina),the southernmost city in the World, where we joined a small expedition cruise that took us to Cape Horn, Wulaia Bay, Agostini Sound and Isla Magdalena. From Punta Arenas (Chile), we drove to Torres del Paine National Park (Chile) – where we stayed for a few days to explore the mountains, lakes, rivers and glaciers. We crossed the Argentinean border to Calafate and Los Glaciares National Park.
